Settlement Indicators of December 2017

In December 2017, the quantity of Balancing Electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 239 178 077.80 kWh, which represents 20% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of Balancing Electricity have made up GEL 30 288 742.25.

In December, the Weighted Average Price of Balancing Electricity per kWh made up  12.6636783 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was  11.248 Tetri/kWh

During the mentioned reporting period, the Balancing Electricity, purchased by ESCO, mainly consisted of the imported electricity. The share of import in total volume of Balancing Electricity was 56%, the share of thermal power plants was 7%, whereas the share of hydro power plants was 37%.

In December, 2017, the distribution companies and the direct consumers bought the Balancing Electricity from ESCO. Their equity participation in the purchase of Balancing Electricity, respectively, was 98.2% and 1.4%. At the same time, the Dispatch Licensee, whose share in the purchase of Balancing Electricity was 0.4%, has bought the losses in order to ensure the transit in December.
