Settlement Indicators of February 2019
In February 2019, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 222 560 590.8 kWh, which represents 21% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity have made up GEL 30 411 281.8.

In February, the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 13.6642708 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 10.614 Tetri.
During the mentioned reporting period, the balancing electricity, purchased by ESCO, mainly consisted of the imported electricity. The share of hydro power plants in total volume of balancing electricity was 34%, the share of wind farm 3%, the share of thermal power plants 3%, whereas the share of import was 60%.

In February, 2019, the distribution companies and the direct consumers bought the balancing electricity from ESCO. Their equity participation in balancing electricity purchase, respectively, was 65.2% and 21.0%. In February, the Dispatch Licensee bought balancing electricity to cover losses in the transmission network, whose share in the purchase of balancing electricity was 7.9%. In addition, Abkhazia’s consumption was partially secured at the expense of balancing electricity, which makes up 5.8% of balancing electricity, totally purchased in February. At the same time, in order to ensure the transit in February, the Dispatch Licensee, whose share in the purchase of balancing electricity was 0.1%, has bought the losses.
