From August 27, 2025, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “Alazani Solar” LLC (in the part of Khirsa Solar Power Plant) to take part in the wholesale trade as Power Plant - During The Test Run And/Or Complex Testing, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
From August 22, 2025, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “Alazani Solar” LLC (in the part of Jugaani Solar Power Plant) to take part in the wholesale trade as Power Plant - During The Test Run And/Or Complex Testing, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
From August 23, 2025, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “Chiora hesi” LLC to take part in the wholesale trade as Direct Customer, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
From August 22, 2025, the Electricity Market Operator has cancelled the registration of LLC “Chiora Hesi”, in the part of Chiora HPP, as a Power Plant - During the Test Run and/or a Comprehensive Testing and in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”, it is no more considered as a wholesale trade participant.
In July 2025, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 197 749 788.1 kWh, which represents 14% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity has made up GEL 31 138 489.5.

In June, the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 15.8938235 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 4.021 Tetri.
From August 1, 2025, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “El-Hub” LLC (in the part of Kaspi Solar Power Plant) to take part in the wholesale trade as Power Plant - During The Test Run And/Or Complex Testing, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
From May 29, 2025, the Electricity Market Operator has registered “Georgia Palace Hotel and Spa” LLC to take part in the wholesale trade as Direct Customer, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
The General Director of ESCO, Mr. Tornike Kazarashvili, together with the company’s management team, held a consultative and informational meeting with the working group responsible for drafting the Energy Code of the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, ESCO representatives presented the functions of Georgia’s Electricity Market Operator to the visiting delegation. They also discussed the country’s legislative and regulatory framework, tariff policy, operational procedures, partner relations, as well as automated systems for settlements and metering, among other key topics
From July 17, 2025, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the „Mtkvari Hesi“ LLC to take part in the wholesale trade as Generation Licensee, (in part of Mtkvari HPP) in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules” .
From July 16, 2025, the Electricity Market Operator has cancelled the registration of “Mtkvari Hesi” LLC as a Direct Consumer (in part of Mtkvari HPP) and in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”, it is no more considered as a wholesale trade participant.
