In January 2025, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 463 755 953.5 kWh, which represents 38% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity has made up GEL 77 059 741.8.

In January, the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 16.6187218 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 12.447 Tetri.
From February 10, 2025, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “Mtkvari Hesi” LLC (in the part of Mtkvari HPP) to take part in the wholesale trade as Power Plant - During The Test Run And/Or Complex Testing, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
From February 1, 2025, the Electricity Market Operator has cancelled the registration of “Bookup Solutions” LLC, as an exporter, and in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”, it is no more considered as a wholesale trade participant.
From January 1, 2025, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the LLC “V-M-G-A Hydro” to take part in the wholesale trade as a Small Power Plant in the part of Dageti HPP, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
From December 31, 2024, the Electricity Market Operator has cancelled the registration of LLC “V-M-G-A Hydro”, in the part of Dageti HPP, as a Power Plant - During the Test Run and/or a Comprehensive Testing and in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”, it is no more considered as a wholesale trade participant.
From January 1, 2025, the Electricity Market Operator has registered “Techsprint Corporation” LLC to take part in the wholesale trade as Direct Customer, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
From December 31, 2024, the Electricity Market Operator has cancelled the registration of “Protech Corporation” LLC as a Direct Consumer and in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”, it is no more considered as a wholesale trade participant.
From December 31, 2024, the Electricity Market Operator has cancelled the registration of “Huan Hy Energy” JSC as a Direct Consumer and in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”, it is no more considered as a wholesale trade participant.

From this date, the registration period for direct electricity contracts will commence.
