From November 1, 2025, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the LLC “Kasleti 1” to take part in the wholesale trade as a Small Power Plant in the part of Kasleti 1 HPP, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
From October 31, 2025, the Electricity Market Operator has cancelled the registration of LLC “Kasleti 1”, in the part of Kasleti 1 HPP, as a Power Plant - During the Test Run and/or a Comprehensive Testing and in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”, it is no more considered as a wholesale trade participant.
As a result of the successful measures implemented and the significant work carried out to enhance cybersecurity, the Electricity Market Operator (ESCO) has been awarded the ISO 27001 certificate — an international standard for information security management.
The ESCO delegation, led by General Director Mr. Tornike Kazarashvili, participated in the General Assembly of EUROPEX, the Association of European Energy Exchanges and Market Operators, held in Slovakia. The Assembly’s discussion platform focused on key topics related to the regulation, integration, and development of European energy markets.
In September 2025, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 328,710,480.3 kWh, which represents 30% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity has made up GEL 52,336,988.9.

In September, the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 15.9813259Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 11.781 Tetri.
From October 1, 2025, the Electricity Market Operator has cancelled the registration of “Kodori” LLC as an importer, exporter and wholesale supplier of electricity and in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”, it is no more considered as a wholesale trade participant.
From September 16, 2025, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “Alazani Solar” LLC (in the part of Qeda Solar Power Plant) to take part in the wholesale trade as Power Plant - During The Test Run And/Or Complex Testing, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
From September 22, 2025, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “GrossMetEnergy” LLC to take part in the wholesale trade as a Wholesale Supplier of Electricity, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
From October 1, 2025, the Electricity Market Operator has cancelled the registration of “Gross Energy Trading” LLC as an importer, exporter and wholesale supplier of electricity and in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”, it is no more considered as a wholesale trade participant.
From September 19, 2025, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “Kasleti 1” LLC (in the part of Kasleti 1 HPP) to take part in the wholesale trade as Power Plant - During The Test Run And/Or Complex Testing, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
