ESCO Held a Business Meeting with a Delegation from Tajikistan’s Energy Sector

The General Director of ESCO, Mr. Tornike Kazarashvili, together with the company’s management team, held a consultative and informational meeting with the working group responsible for drafting the Energy Code of the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, ESCO representatives presented the functions of Georgia’s Electricity Market Operator to the visiting delegation. They also discussed the country’s legislative and regulatory framework, tariff policy, operational procedures, partner relations, as well as automated systems for settlements and metering, among other key topics.
The discussion also touched on the strategic importance of the Black Sea Submarine Power Cable project in terms of integrating the region with the European electricity network. Its potential benefits for Georgia and the South Caucasus as a whole—particularly in terms of enhanced transit capabilities and economic profitability—were emphasized.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Tajik delegation expressed their gratitude to Georgia’s Electricity Market Operator for sharing valuable insights and for a productive exchange.
