In May 2025, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 266 417 568.9 kWh, which represents 20% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity has made up GEL 36 190 716.4.

In May , the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 13.6303233 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 4.021 Tetri.

From March 26, 2025, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “Chiora Hesi” LLC (in the part of Chiora HPP) to take part in the wholesale trade as Power Plant - During The Test Run And/Or Complex Testing, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
