From October 26, 2023, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “ID Synergy” LLC to take part in the wholesale trade as Wholesale Electricity Supplier, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
The Electricity System Commercial Operator has joined a student internship program that will place high-achieving students in internships at ESCO.
The aim of the program is that students with high academic performance from five state universities will undergo one-year paid internships in energy companies managed by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, with the right to further employment.
Mr. Kakhaber Keburia, Director General of the Electricity System Commercial Operator together with his deputies participated in the conference dedicated to the day of establishment of the National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission of Georgia.
First Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mr. Romeo Mikautadze addressed the conference.
ESCO participates in the general assembly of the "Association of European Power Exchanges" (EUROPEX)
Mr. Alexander Papiashvili, Deputy General Director of ESCO, and Mrs. Tamar Tsurtsumia, Head of International and Investments Relations Department participated in the general assembly of the "Association of European Power Exchanges" (EUROPEX) on behalf of the Electricity System Commercial Operator. The general assembly was held in Brussels.
In September 2023, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 119 963 275 kWh, which represents 8% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity has made up GEL 16 368 024.

In September, the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 14.3373269 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 11.668 Tetri.
Today, a consultation meeting was held between the Electricity System Commercial Operator and the World Bank's Energy Sector Security and Strengthening Mission Group to prepare for the ESCO international standard certification (ISO 27001)
The General Director of the Electricity System Commercial Operator Mr. Kakhaber Keburia, together with the representative of ESCO, participated in the conference Promoting Business Networking in the Energy Sector, organized by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The event was attended by representatives of public, private, donor, and investor companies in the energy sector, as well as financial institutions. The Director of USAID/Georgia Economic Growth Office Mr. Michelle Koselski and USAID Georgia Energy Futures Program Manager Mr. Robert Taylor introduced themselves to the conference participants.
