From February 19, 2026, the Electricity Market Operator has registered “Domein Svanidze” LLC to take part in the wholesale trade as Direct Customer, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
From February 18, 2026, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “VRG Trading” LLC to take part in the wholesale trade as a Wholesale Supplier of Electricity, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
A business meeting was held between ESCO and representatives of Turkey’s electricity market operator, EPIAS. The visit provided an opportunity to exchange information on the electricity trading frameworks of the two countries, current market operation practices, and recent developments. Such business meetings are both valuable and necessary for strengthening cooperation and fostering its further development... .
In January 2026, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 711 469 289.4 kWh, which represents 49% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity has made up GEL 119 239 999.

In January, the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 16.7598341 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 11.460 Tetri.
ESCO participated in the international energy forum Energy Week Black Sea 2026, held in Bucharest, Romania. The forum featured a keynote address by Ms. Inga Pkhaladze, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia. In her speech, the Deputy Minister highlighted Georgia’s strategic importance in the region, particularly in the areas of energy security and the development of clean energy. She also underlined Georgia’s role in the process of integration between regional and European energy markets.
In December 2025, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 745,527,897.5 kWh, which represents 52% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity has made up GEL 119,591,010.

In December, the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 16.0412559 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 11.460 Tetri.
From January 1, 2026, the Electricity Market Operator has cancelled the registration of “MetEnergy” LLC as a wholesale supplier of electricity and in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”, it is no more considered as a wholesale trade participant.
From December 19, 2025, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the LLC “Dani Trade” to take part in the wholesale trade as a wholesale supplier, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
In November 2025, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 384,412,484.3 kWh, which represents 32% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity has made up GEL 57,462,144.

In November, the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 14.9494507 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 11.690 Tetri.
The Electricity Market Operator, led by its General Director, Tornike Kazarashvili, took part in the GRC 2025 World Forum held in Dubai.
