ESCO took part in EUROPEX General Assembly meetings

The Electricity System Commercial Operator participated in the General Assembly meetings of the "Association of European Energy Exchanges" (EUROPEX). ESCO's Deputy General Director, Alexander Papiashvili, and the Head of the Department of International and Investor Relations, Tamar Tsurtsumia, delivered a presentation on the development of Georgia’s electricity market and the opening of the Power Exchange. EUROPEX positively evaluated the transitional model presented by ESCO for the Exchange's opening.

Since 2015, ESCO has been a member of the Association of European Energy Exchanges. EUROPEX unites a total of 24 companies, and ESCO is the first representative from a non-EU country.

The involvement of the Electricity System Commercial Operator in the work of international energy platforms is essential for the introduction of new directions and innovations, as well as for the competent representation of ongoing modern processes and achievements in Georgia's energy sector on such platforms
