Settlement Indicators of July 2019

In July 2019, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 192 269 481.3 kWh, which represents 18% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity have made up GEL 26 156 877.7.

In July, the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 13.6042795 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was  1.818 Tetri.

During the mentioned reporting period, the balancing electricity, purchased by ESCO, mainly consisted of the imported electricity. The share of hydro power plants in total volume of balancing electricity was 44.9%, the share of wind farm 4.6%, the share of thermal power plants – 1.6%, whereas the share of import was 48.9%.

In July 2019, the distribution companies and the direct consumers bought the balancing electricity from ESCO. Their equity participation in balancing electricity purchase, respectively, was 18.0% and 70.5%. In July, the Dispatch Licensee bought balancing electricity to cover losses in the transmission network, whose share in the purchase of balancing electricity was 11.5%.
