Settlement Indicators of June 2020

In June 2020, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 209 226 528.6 kWh, which represents 21% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity has made up GEL 28 089 499.4.

In June, the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 13.1741005 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 1.358 Tetri.

During the mentioned reporting period, the balancing electricity, purchased by ESCO, mainly consisted of the electricity generated by HPPs. The share of hydro power plants in total volume of balancing electricity was 96.78%, the share of wind farm 3.18%, whereas the share of import was 0.04%.

In June 2020, the distribution companies and the direct consumers bought the balancing electricity from ESCO. Their equity participation in balancing electricity purchase, respectively, was 59.9% and 24.1%. In June, the Dispatch Licensee bought balancing electricity to cover losses in the transmission network, whose share in the purchase of balancing electricity was 10.7%. At the same time, in order to ensure the transit in June, the Dispatch Licensee, whose share in the purchase of balancing electricity was 0.3%, has bought the losses. In addition, in June, the balancing electricity was exported, and its share was 5.0%.
