Settlement Indicators of April 2021

In April 2021, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 328 443 770,8 kWh, which represents 31% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity has made up GEL 55 587 825.

In April, the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 16,9532960 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 12.304 Tetri.

During the mentioned reporting period, the balancing electricity, purchased by ESCO, mainly consisted of the electricity generated by HPPs. The share of hydro power plants in total volume of balancing electricity was 82%, the share of wind farm 2%, whereas the share of import was 16%.

In April 2021, the distribution companies and the direct consumers bought the balancing electricity from ESCO. Their equity participation in balancing electricity purchase, respectively, was 89.5% and 4.9%. In April, the Dispatch Licensee bought balancing electricity to cover losses in the transmission network, whose share in the purchase of balancing electricity was 5.4%.
