In June 2021, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 148 653 325,90 kWh, which represents 11% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity has made up GEL 20 670 444.

In June, the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 13,9051338 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 1.857 Tetri.
During the mentioned reporting period, the balancing electricity, purchased by ESCO, mainly consisted of the electricity generated by HPPs. The share of hydro power plants in total volume of balancing electricity was 91%, the share of wind farm 5%, the share of thermal power plants -1%, whereas the share of import was 3%.

In June 2021, the distribution companies and the direct consumers bought the balancing electricity from ESCO. Their equity participation in balancing electricity purchase, respectively, was 27.76% and 52.33%. In June, the Dispatch Licensee bought balancing electricity to cover losses in the transmission network, whose share in the purchase of balancing electricity was 19.36%. In addition, in June, the balancing electricity was exported, and its share was 0.02%.
