In March 2022, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 379 501 356.4 kWh, which represents 28% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity has made up GEL 69 527 746.

In March the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 18.3213585 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 13.375 Tetri.
During the mentioned reporting period, the balancing electricity, purchased by ESCO, mainly consisted of the electricity generated by TPP’s. The share of hydro power plants in total volume of balancing electricity was 24.5%, the share of wind farm 1.9%, the share of thermal power plants 42.3%, whereas the share of import was 31.3%.

In March 2022, the share of balancing electricity purchased by direct consumers from ESCO was 28.980% in total volume of balancing electricity. In March, the Dispatch Licensee bought balancing electricity to cover losses in the transmission network, whose share in the purchase of balancing electricity was 6.942%.
