Settlement Indicators of September 2022

In September 2022, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 189 969 040.5kWh, which represents 16% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity has made up GEL 28 800 215.

In September the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 15.1532407 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 8.613 Tetri.

During the mentioned reporting period, the balancing electricity, purchased by ESCO, mainly consisted of the electricity generated by HPP’s. The share of hydro power plants in total volume of balancing electricity was 57%, the share of wind farm 4%, the share of TPP’s – 39%.

In September 2022, the share of balancing electricity purchased by direct consumers from ESCO was 57.119% in total volume of balancing electricity. In September, the Dispatch Licensee bought balancing electricity to cover losses in the transmission network, whose share in the purchase of balancing electricity was 12.124%.
