Settlement Indicators of December 2022

In December 2022, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 280 260 027.7kWh, which represents 22% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity has made up GEL 40 581 295.8.

In December the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 14.4795122 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 12.913 Tetri.

During the mentioned reporting period, the balancing electricity, purchased by ESCO, mainly consisted of the electricity generated by TPP’s. The share of hydro power plants in total volume of balancing electricity was 32.6%, the share of wind farm 2.7%, the share of TPP’s – 61.0% and share of import – 3.7%.

In December 2022, the share of balancing electricity purchased by direct consumers from ESCO was 29.43% in total volume of balancing electricity. In December, the Dispatch Licensee bought balancing electricity to cover losses in the transmission network, whose share in the purchase of balancing electricity was 9.49%.
