In October 2023, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 264 729 584 kWh, which represents 26% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity has made up GEL 39 715 783.

During the mentioned reporting period, the balancing electricity, purchased by ESCO, mainly consisted of the electricity generated by HPP’s. The share of hydro power plants in total volume of balancing electricity was 84%, the share of wind farm 6.2%, the share of TPP’s –9.8% and share of import – 0%.

In October 2023, the share of balancing electricity purchased by direct consumers from ESCO was 4 % in total volume of balancing electricity. In October, the Dispatch Licensee bought balancing electricity to cover losses in the transmission network, whose share in the purchase of balancing electricity was 7.8%.
