Settlement Indicators of January 2024

In February 2024, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 342 017 516.9 kWh, which represents 29% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity has made up GEL 53 822 979.5.

In February, the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 15.7369073 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 18.156 Tetri.

During the mentioned reporting period, the balancing electricity, purchased by ESCO, mainly consisted of the electricity generated by TPP’s. The share of hydro power plants in total volume of balancing electricity was 40%, the share of wind farm 2%, the share of TPP’s – 57% and share of import – 1%.

In February 2024, the share of balancing electricity purchased by direct consumers from ESCO was 4.1% in total volume of balancing electricity. In February, the Dispatch Licensee bought balancing electricity to cover losses in the transmission network, whose share in the purchase of balancing electricity was 5.1%.
