Settlement Indicators of February 2016

In February 2016, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 151 010 135.0 kWh, which represents 17% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity have made up  20 553 072.5 GEL.

In February, the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 13.6103928 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was  11.303 Tetri/kWh

During the mentioned reporting period, the balancing electricity, purchased by ESCO, mainly, consisted of the imported electricity. The share of import in total volume of balancing electricity was 61%, the share of thermal power plants was 7%, whereas the share of hydro power plants was 32%.

In February, 2016, the distribution companies and the direct consumers bought the balancing electricity from ESCO. Their equity participation in balancing electricity purchase, respectively, was 98.0% and 1.6%. At the same time, in order to ensure the transit in December, the Dispatch Licensee, whose share in the purchase of balancing electricity was 0.4%, bought the losses.

In February, total amount of guaranteed capacity actually provided by the sources of guaranteed capacity was 14 998 829.00 GEL, whereas the guaranteed capacity fee payable per each consumed kWh by the guaranteed capacity buyer eligible enterprises was  2.1417 Tetri.
