In April 2017, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 280 038 454.7kWh, which represents 29% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity have made up 31 801 299.4 GEL.
During the mentioned reporting period, the Balancing Electricity, purchased by ESCO, consisted of imported electricity and the electricity generated by the HPPs. The share of import in total volume of Balancing Electricity was 52%, whereas the share of hydro power plants was 48%.

In April, 2017, the distribution companies and the direct consumers bought the Balancing Electricity from ESCO. Their equity participation in the purchase of Balancing Electricity, respectively, was 96.28% and 3.69%. At the same time, the Dispatch Licensee, whose share in the purchase of Balancing Electricity was 0.03%, has bought the losses in order to ensure the transit in April.
