Settlement Indicators of August 2021

In September 2021, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 313 817 027,7 kWh, which represents 26% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity has made up GEL 53 237 965,1.

In September, the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 16,9593550 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 12.304 Tetri.

During the mentioned reporting period, the balancing electricity, purchased by ESCO, mainly consisted of the electricity generated by HPPs. The share of hydro power plants in total volume of balancing electricity was 54.42%, the share of wind farm 2.26%, the share of thermal power plants - 43.27%, whereas the share of import was 0.05%.

In September 2021, basically the direct consumers bought the balancing electricity from ESCO. Their equity participation in balancing electricity purchase, was 58.5%. In September, the Dispatch Licensee bought balancing electricity to cover losses in the transmission network, whose share in the purchase of balancing electricity was 7.0%. In addition, in September, the Distribution Licensees bought balancing electricity to cover losses in the distribution network, and its share was 10.0%.
