“Acciona Energy” Representatives’s and EMEA Business Development Direstorate’s Visit to ESCO

The Electricity Market Operator had an advisory meeting with the representatives of Spanish Energy Company „Acciona Energy” and EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) Business Development Directorate. Briefing the guests on the reform and challenges of Georgian electricity was the main goal of this visit. The issue of promoting renewable energies, existing and future support mechanisms in the light of tongoing market liberalization, were discussed.

“Acciona Energy” is one of the leading energy companies in the Eastern energy sector. Its portfolio includes the plant with over 9600 MBt of installed capacity in 20 countries worldwide. The Company is interested in developing plants that operate using renewable energy resources in Georgia, mainly wind plants.
