Settlement Indicators of March 2017

In March 2017, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 355 222 707.7 kWh, which represents 34% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity have made up 44 945 912 GEL.

In March, the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up  12.6528825 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was  14.234 Tetri/kWh

During the mentioned reporting period, the balancing electricity, purchased by ESCO, mainly, consisted of the imported electricity. The share of import in total volume of balancing electricity was 64%, the share of thermal power plants was 5%, whereas the share of hydro power plants was 31%.

In March, 2017, the distribution companies and the direct consumers bought the balancing electricity from ESCO. Their equity participation in balancing electricity purchase, respectively, was 94.57% and 5.42%. At the same time, in order to ensure the transit in February, the Dispatch Licensee, whose share in the purchase of balancing electricity was 0.02%, has bought the losses.
