Settlement Indicators of August 2017

In August 2017, the quantity of Balancing Electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 180 040 473.3  kWh, which represents 16% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of Balancing Electricity have made up GEL 20 071 923.4.

In August, the Weighted Average Price of Balancing Electricity per kWh made up  11.1485618 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was  1.496 Tetri/kWh

During the mentioned reporting period, the Balancing Electricity, purchased by ESCO, mainly consisted of the electricity generated by the HPPs and the imported electricity. The share of import in total volume of Balancing Electricity was 40%, the share of thermal power plants was 20%, whereas the share of hydro power plants was 40%.

In August, 2017, the distribution companies and the direct consumers bought the Balancing Electricity from ESCO. Their equity participation in the purchase of Balancing Electricity, respectively, was 74% and 25%. At the same time, the Dispatch Licensee, whose share in the purchase of Balancing Electricity was 1%, has bought the losses in order to ensure the transit in April.
