Settlement Indicators of In January 2017

In January 2017, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 315 489 984 kWh, which represents 28% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity have made up 43 060 065.35 GEL.

In January, the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up  13.6486315 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was  14.234 Tetri/kWh. 

During the mentioned reporting period, the balancing electricity, purchased by ESCO, mainly, consisted of the electricity generated by the tpps. The share of import in total volume of balancing electricity was 13%, the share of thermal power plants was 51%, whereas the share of hydro power plants was 36%.

In January, 2017, the distribution companies and the direct consumers bought the balancing electricity from ESCO. Their equity participation in balancing electricity purchase, respectively, was 87.88% and 12.06%. At the same time, in order to ensure the transit in January, the Dispatch Licensee, whose share in the purchase of balancing electricity was 0.06%, bought the losses.
