From February 27, 2020, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the "Keystone Consulting" LTD to take part in the wholesale trade as electricity wholesale supplier, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
ESCO representatives took part in a meeting held at the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development. At the meeting, representatives of the Norwegian Company “Cowi” discussed topics such as the development of mechanisms for sharing the profit of hpps, the perception of profit sharing and public expectations in this regard;
The meeting was held with the Executive Director of the Danish company RACELL - Mr. Yakov Sapir and his companions at the ESCO Conference Room. The company, together with its Norwegian counterparts, plans to develop a renewable energy project in Georgia, including a floating power plant.
The visitors inquired and received all the necessary information on electricity trade in the Georgian market, on registration procedures for the participation and other topics of interest to them.
ESCO has hosted Dutch investors, who are planning to make significant investment in Georgia and open several large industrial plants. The meeting focused on issues related to electricity trade in Georgia, especially renewable energy trade in Georgia.
In January 2020, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 301 280 467.8 kWh, which represents 25% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity have made up GEL 43 947 381.5.

In January, the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 14.5868671 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 12.304 Tetri.

From February 05, 2020, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “MG Renewables” LTD to take part in the wholesale trade as a Small Power Plant in the part of Dzama HPP, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
From February 04, 2020, the Electricity Market Operator has cancelled the registration of “MG Renewables” LTD, in the part of Dzama HPP, as a Power Plant - During the Test Run and/or a Comprehensive Testing and in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”, it is no more considered as a wholesale trade participant.

From January 29, 2020, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “AAD” LTD to take part in the wholesale trade as a Small Power Plant in the part of Chapala HPP, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
