On July 19, with the support of USAID’s Governing for Growth in Georgia (G4G), the Electricity System Commercial Operator (ESCO) and the Georgian Renewable Energy Association (GREDA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on using Blockchain technologies in the energy sector and, to this end, studying the potential of these technologies.
In June 2019, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 148 654 694.1 kWh, which represents 12% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity have made up GEL 10 756 571.8.

In June, the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 7.2359449 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 1.818 Tetri.
From May 13, 2019, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “IOTA SYNERGY” LTD to take part in the wholesale trade as a Small Power Plant in the part of “DAGVA” HPP, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
From May 13, 2019, the registration of “AJARA TEXTILE” LTD (in the part of “Dagvahesi”) as Small Power Plant is cancelled by the Electricity Market Operator and in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”, it is no more considered as a wholesale trade participant.
On JUNE 26, 2019, the Electronic Tender SPA 190003376 was announced on purchase of stationery goods, which cost GEL 400.0. The deadline for bidding is on JULY 04, 2019, at 13:00.
On June 13, 2019, ESCO announced an electronic tender (NAT 190011623) for the purchase of a server, the estimated cost of which is GEL 82 700 (including VAT). The deadline for submission of the tender proposal end on June 21, 2019, at 13:00.

From June 01, 2019, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “SVANETI HYDRO” JSC to take part in the wholesale trade as Generation Licensee in the part of MESTIACHALA 1 HPP, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
From May 31, 2019, the Electricity Market Operator has cancelled the registration of “SVANETI HYDRO” JSC as a Power Plant - During the Test Run and/or a Comprehensive Testing (in the part of MESTIACHALA 1 HPP) and in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”, it is no more considered as a wholesale trade participant.
From June 05, 2019, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “COINMANIA” LTD to take part in the wholesale trade as electricity wholesale supplier, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
