From August 15, 2019, the Electricity Market Operator has cancelled the registration of “ENERGO INVEST” LTD, in the part of AVANI HPP, as a Power Plant - During the Test Run and/or a Comprehensive Testing and in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”, it is no more considered as a wholesale trade participant.
In July 2019, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 192 269 481.3 kWh, which represents 18% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity have made up GEL 26 156 877.7.

In July, the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 13.6042795 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 1.818 Tetri.
On July 25, 2019, the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) celebrated its 100th Anniversary.
In connection with the Anniversary, Geostat has identified partner organizations that have been actively cooperating with the agency for many years. The Electricity Market Operator (ESCO) was named as one of the best among the selected agencies. Accordingly, ESCO was awarded a special certificate.
From July 22, 2019, the registration of “Kutaisi Investments” LTD as Direct Customer is cancelled by the Electricity Market Operator and in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”, it is no more considered as a wholesale trade participant.
On July 24, 2019, an electronic tender SPA 190003833 was announced for the amount of 44,000.0 GEL for the renewal of various licenses (CPV 48,600,000). The deadline for submission of the tender proposal ends August 2, 2019 at 12:30.
On July 19, with the support of USAID’s Governing for Growth in Georgia (G4G), the Electricity System Commercial Operator (ESCO) and the Georgian Renewable Energy Association (GREDA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on using Blockchain technologies in the energy sector and, to this end, studying the potential of these technologies.

From May 13, 2019, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “IOTA SYNERGY” LTD to take part in the wholesale trade as a Small Power Plant in the part of “DAGVA” HPP, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
From May 13, 2019, the registration of “AJARA TEXTILE” LTD (in the part of “Dagvahesi”) as Small Power Plant is cancelled by the Electricity Market Operator and in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”, it is no more considered as a wholesale trade participant.
On JUNE 26, 2019, the Electronic Tender SPA 190003376 was announced on purchase of stationery goods, which cost GEL 400.0. The deadline for bidding is on JULY 04, 2019, at 13:00.
