In September 2019, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 286 968 458.1 kWh, which represents 29% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity have made up GEL 42 578 920.0.

In September, the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 14.8374913 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 10.614 Tetri.
From October 01, 2019, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “PSHAVELA” LDT to take part in the wholesale trade as a Small Power Plant in the part of “PSHAVELA” HPP, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
From October 01, 2019, the registration of “GEORGIAN WATER AND POWER” LTD (in the part of “Pshavelahesi”) as Small Power Plant is cancelled by the Electricity Market Operator and in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”, it is no more considered as a wholesale trade participant.
From September 03, 2019, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “BUKSI HESI” JSC to take part in the wholesale trade as a Small Power Plant in the part of “NABEGLAVI” HPP, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
From September 03, 2019, the registration of “HESI I” LTD (in the part of “Nabeglavihesi”) as Small Power Plant is cancelled by the Electricity Market Operator and in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”, it is no more considered as a wholesale trade participant.
In August 2019, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 213 186 275.2 kWh, which represents 19% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity have made up GEL 30 453 719.32.

In August, the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 14.2850281 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 1.818 Tetri.
According to the decree of the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, a new general director - Mr. Zaza Dvalishvili will be in charge of the JSC “Electricity System Commercial Operator” from August 21, 2019.
From August 16, 2019, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “ENERGO INVEST” LTD to take part in the wholesale trade as a Small Power Plant in the part of “AVANI” HPP, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
From August 15, 2019, the Electricity Market Operator has cancelled the registration of “ENERGO INVEST” LTD, in the part of AVANI HPP, as a Power Plant - During the Test Run and/or a Comprehensive Testing and in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”, it is no more considered as a wholesale trade participant.
In July 2019, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 192 269 481.3 kWh, which represents 18% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity have made up GEL 26 156 877.7.
