From July 01, 2021, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “TELASI“ JSC to take part in the wholesale trade as Distribution Licensee, in the field of electricity procurement to cover losses in the distribution network, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
From July 01, 2021, the Electricity Market Operator, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”, has registered to take part in the wholesale trade as Direct Customer the following enterprises: 1. From July 01, 2021, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “Tbilisi Electricity Retail Company“ LTD to take part in the wholesale trade as Last Alternative Supplier, Free Supplier, Electricity supplier in the form of public services, Universal Service Supplier, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
From July 01, 2021, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “EP GEORGIA SUPPLY” JSC to take part in the wholesale trade as Last Alternative Supplier, Free Supplier, Electricity supplier in the form of public services, Universal Service Supplier, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
From June 23, 2021, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “TESTEL” LTD to take part in the wholesale trade as electricity wholesale supplier, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
The amendment to the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules” approved by the Order N77 of the Minister of Energy of Georgia of August 30, 2006 was published in the Legislative Herald of Georgia, on the basis of which the temporary rule of registration of retail consumers as direct consumers was defined. This rule applies to those consumers who meet the criteria set out in the Resolution N246 of the Government of Georgia of 16 April 2020 on the Approval of the Concept of Electricity Market Model. Consumers who meet the mandatory criteria set out in this Regulation must register as direct consumers of electricity no later than July 1, 2021.
From June 10, 2021, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “MOULDS AND METALS GEORGIA” LTD to take part in the wholesale trade as Direct Customer, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
From June 09, 2021, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “AQUAENERGY GEORGIA” LTD (in the part of “TBILISI SEA” HPP) to take part in the wholesale trade as Power Plant - During The Test Run And/Or Complex Testing, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
In May 2021, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 223 484 185,5 kWh, which represents 18% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity has made up GEL 28 505 275.

In May, the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 12,7549405 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 1.857 Tetri.
On June 11, 2021, an electronic tender NAT210010592 was announced to renew for one year the various licenses used by ESCO (database and operating software packages - CPV 48600000), with an estimated cost of GEL 83,200. The deadline for submission of proposals is June 21, 2021, 14:00.
