Settlement Indicators of July 2021

In July 2021, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 229 685 932,24 kWh, which represents 19% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity has made up GEL 25 610 934,6.

In July, the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 11,1504150 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 1.857 Tetri.

During the mentioned reporting period, the balancing electricity, purchased by ESCO, mainly consisted of the electricity generated by HPPs. The share of hydro power plants in total volume of balancing electricity was 95.3%, the share of wind farm 2.8%, the share of thermal power plants -1.7%, whereas the share of import was 0.2%.

In July 2021, the direct consumers bought the balancing electricity from ESCO. Their equity participation in balancing electricity purchase, was 59.42%. In July, the Dispatch Licensee bought balancing electricity to cover losses in the transmission network, whose share in the purchase of balancing electricity was 12.34%. In addition, in July, the Distribution Licensees bought balancing electricity to cover losses in the distribution network, and its share was 27.62%.
