ESCO and Ltd “C-Power” Sign the Contract

The Electricity Market Operator’s General Director Vakhtang Ambokadze and the Ltd C-Power’s Director Givi Chachia have signed the contract on guaranteed power purchase.

The Ltd “C-Power” shall insure the construction and operation in Gardabani City of the coal thermal plant, with the capacity of 150-300 MW (+/- 10%), under the condition that the coal power plant consumes the coal, continuously extracted from the territory of Georgia, for the purpose of electricity generation (including the operation with the capacity of 150 MW per hour).

According to the current legislation, the Market Operator shall sign the direct contract on purchase of power, generated by the newly constructed power plant, under the conditions agreed between the Government of Georgia, the Market Operator and the person concerned.
