ESCO's Participation in a Seminar Dedicated to the Commitments Undertaken by Georgia after Gaining the Membership of Energy Community

On 15-16 February, 2019, Mr. Vakhtang Ambokadze, the General Director of ESCO participated in a seminar and discussions dedicated to the commitments undertaken by Georgia after gaining the membership of Energy Community. The workshop was organized by the Georgian Parliamentary Committee on European Integration at Radisson Blue Tsinandali and supported by Conrad Adenauer Foundation of. Mrs. Tamar Tsurtsumia, Head of ESCO’s International and Investor Relations Department, also participated in the seminar as an energy expert.

The purpose of the seminar was to talk over the reforms to be implemented in the Energy Sector in accordance with the requirements of Energy Community Agreement and new draft law of Georgia on energy. In the framework of the seminar, the draft law on energy and water supply, as well as a draft law on renewable energy sources and energy efficiency were discussed.

Mr. Thomas Sharapel, Director of the South Caucasus delegation of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and Ms. Tamar Hulordava, Chairman of the European Integration Committee opened this event. Ms. Natia Turnava, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, as well as authorized representatives of leading entities and companies of the Energy Sector participated in the seminar and discussions.
