Settlement Indicators of September 2020

In September 2020, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 276 079 424.40 kWh, which represents 29% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity has made up GEL 45 937 039.0.

In September, the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 16.6390665 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 12.304 Tetri.

During the mentioned reporting period, the balancing electricity, purchased by ESCO, mainly consisted of the electricity generated by HPPs. The share of hydro power plants in total volume of balancing electricity was 43.42%, the share of wind farm 3.02%, the share of thermal power plants 25.61%, whereas the share of import was 27.95%.

In September 2020, the distribution companies and the direct consumers bought the balancing electricity from ESCO. Their equity participation in balancing electricity purchase, respectively, was 61.0% and 32.5%. In September, the Dispatch Licensee bought balancing electricity to cover losses in the transmission network, whose share in the purchase of balancing electricity was 6.5%.
