Settlement Indicators of March 2021
In March 2021, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 373 904 107,5 kWh, which represents 30% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity has made up GEL 62 480 780.

In March, the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 16,7103755 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 12.304 Tetri.
During the mentioned reporting period, the balancing electricity, purchased by ESCO, mainly consisted of the imported electricity. The share of hydro power plants in total volume of balancing electricity was 33%, the share of thermal power plants – 2%, the share of wind farm 2%, whereas the share of import was 63%.

In March 2021, the distribution companies and the direct consumers bought the balancing electricity from ESCO. Their equity participation in balancing electricity purchase, respectively, was 89% and 3%. In March, the Dispatch Licensee bought balancing electricity to cover losses in the transmission network, whose share in the purchase of balancing electricity was 6%.
