Settlement Indicators of April 2022

In April 2022, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 354 870 771.8 kWh, which represents 30% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity has made up GEL 59 627 017.9.

In April the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 16.8028386 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 13.854 Tetri.

During the mentioned reporting period, the balancing electricity, purchased by ESCO, mainly consisted of the electricity generated by TPP’s. The share of hydro power plants in total volume of balancing electricity was 75.2%, the share of wind farm 1.8%, the share of thermal power plants 3.1%, whereas the share of import was 19.9%.

In April 2022, the share of balancing electricity purchased by direct consumers from ESCO was 12.7% in total volume of balancing electricity. In April, the Dispatch Licensee bought balancing electricity to cover losses in the transmission network, whose share in the purchase of balancing electricity was 6.42%.
