In June 2024, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 163 289 272.8 kWh, which represents 11% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity has made up GEL 24 089 199.3.

In June, the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 14.7403672 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 2.412 Tetri.
During the mentioned reporting period, the balancing electricity, purchased by ESCO, mainly consisted of the electricity generated by HPP’s. The share of hydro power plants in total volume of balancing electricity was 94.1%, the share of thermal power plants – 0.1%, the share of wind farm 3.3% and the share of import – 2.5%.

In June 2024, the share of balancing electricity purchased by direct consumers from ESCO was 3.2% in total volume of balancing electricity. In June, the Dispatch Licensee bought balancing electricity to cover losses in the transmission network, whose share in the purchase of balancing electricity was 24.31%.
