In January 2026, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 711 469 289.4 kWh, which represents 49% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity has made up GEL 119 239 999.

In January, the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 16.7598341 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 11.460 Tetri.

During the mentioned reporting period, the balancing electricity, purchased by ESCO, mainly consisted of imported electricity. The share of hydro power plants in total volume of balancing electricity was 18.4%, the share of wind farm 0.7%, the share of TPP’s – 30.8% and share of import – 50.1%.

In January 2026, the share of balancing electricity purchased by direct consumers from ESCO was 17.109% in total volume of balancing electricity.
