Settlement Indicators of August 2026

In August 2026, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 322 147 225.9 kWh, which represents 25% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity has made up GEL 54 295 498.

In August, the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 16.898859417 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 4.021 Tetri.

During the mentioned reporting period, the balancing electricity, purchased by ESCO, mainly consisted of the electricity generated by TPP’s. The share of hydro power plants in total volume of balancing electricity was 38%, the share of thermal power plants – 56%, the share of wind farm 3%, the share of solar power plants 1% and share of import – 2%.

In August 2026, the share of balancing electricity purchased by direct consumers from ESCO was 1.6% in total volume of balancing electricity. In August, the Dispatch Licensee bought balancing electricity to cover losses in the transmission network, whose share in the purchase of balancing electricity was 5.9%.
