MEETING WITH ESCO WITHIN THE PROJECT ON SUPPORT OF DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF NEW ENERGY TRADE PLATFORM
The ESCO has organized the business meeting within the project financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), aimed at modernizing the Georgian Energy Market in line with European standards, to the support the Georgian Government.
The mentioned project involves: development of Georgian Energy Sector in line with European standards; elaboration of a new concept of the country's energy market; creation and implementation of a new trading platform, which includes the introduction of trading models like Day Ahead Market (DAM), Day Trade Market (IDM), System Serving Market (SSM) and Balancing Electricity Market (BM).
Business meetings ongoing in the development process of a new concept of optimal energy market include the reconciliation of stakeholders’ reporting results and applicable regulatory acts as well as the identification of problematic and specific issues and relevant analysis.
The international expert-consultants: Mr. Nick Tourlis, Mr. Alexandros Pramagiolus of LDK Consulting and Mr.Hans-Arild Bredesen, NORD POOL Executive Director have carried out their business visit to the Electricity Market Operator.
The meeting was aimed at the discussion of project-related consulting issues with the ESCO as the party involved in this process.
