The Agreement on Electricity Purchase, Sale and Transit Deviations Was Signed Between the General Director of ESCO and the President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan

The General Director of ESCO, Tornike Kazarashvili, and the President of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Rovshan Najaf, signed an agreement on electricity purchase, sale, and transit deviations between the two countries. 

It is noteworthy that, as a result of active negotiations, the Governments of Georgia and Azerbaijan signed a comprehensive package of intergovernmental strategic agreements in the energy sector, according to which the two countries agreed on the main terms of electricity supply and transit operations for a 20-year period. 

The comprehensive package signed between Georgia and Azerbaijan in the energy sector is a historically significant agreement that will further deepen economic ties between the two countries and strengthen Georgia’s energy security.

Tornike kazarashvili was in Baku together with the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Mariam Kvrivishvili, within the framework of the Prime Minister of Georgia’s official visit.
