ESCO Participates in the EUROPEX General Assembly
As part of its ongoing commitment to European energy cooperation, the Georgian Electricity Market Operator (ESCO), an Associate Member of the European Association of Energy Exchanges (EUROPEX), participated in the organization’s General Assembly, held in Bled, Slovenia.
The EUROPEX General Assembly is the organization’s highest governing body, bringing together representatives of member organizations to define its strategic priorities and key areas of activity. The meeting focused on current developments and regulatory trends in the European energy market, with particular emphasis on the European Union's key energy priorities, including strengthening market competitiveness, advancing the Energy Security Framework, and accelerating the integration of renewable energy sources.
ESCO's participation in the EUROPEX General Assembly further reinforces Georgia's integration into the European energy community. It provides an important platform for exchanging expertise, strengthening international cooperation, promoting the alignment of Georgia's energy sector with European electricity market operating models, and facilitating the implementation of internationally recognized standards and best practices across the region.
The company’s General Director, Tornike Kazarashvili, led the ESCO delegation. The General Assembly brought together representatives of European electricity market operators and energy exchanges from across the continent.
