ESCO at the Black Sea Region Energy Week

The Electricity Market Operator (ESCO) continues to maintain a strong presence on the international stage. From April 2 to 4, ESCO’s Deputy General Director, Mr. Aleksandre Papiashvili, and Head of the International and Investor Relations Department, Ms. Tamar Tsurtsumia, participated in the Energy Week held in Bucharest, Romania. The event focused on “Energy Market Development and Financial Support for Renewable Energy in the Black Sea Region.”
As part of the panel discussions, Ms. Tamar Tsurtsumia delivered a presentation highlighting ESCO’s role in the functioning of Georgia’s electricity market and ongoing developments within the sector.
Energy Week has been held annually since 2020 and aims to deepen energy cooperation among countries of the Black Sea region—including Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia, and Turkey—and to promote and strengthen joint initiatives
