ESCO Management Participates in the EUROPEX General Assembly

The ESCO delegation, led by General Director Mr. Tornike Kazarashvili, participated in the General Assembly of EUROPEX, the Association of European Energy Exchanges and Market Operators, held in Slovakia. The Assembly’s discussion platform focused on key topics related to the regulation, integration, and development of European energy markets.

EUROPEX serves as an important platform for cooperation among European power exchanges and market operators. Its activities include:

  • Active participation and consultation in the formation of the European regulatory framework;
  • Sharing best practices among member countries;
  • Creating a forum to promote the development and integration of energy markets.

Since 2015, the Electricity Market Operator (ESCO) has been the first associate member of EUROPEX in the region. ESCO’s involvement in EUROPEX is crucial not only for gaining and for sharing knowledge about the specific features and innovations of European energy markets but also for further integrating Georgia’s Energy Market into the European space and the broader processes of European energy market development. This participation also provides Georgia with the opportunity to hold consultative meetings with energy companies from other countries in the region.
