ESCO Attends International Energy Forum in Bucharest

ESCO participated in the international energy forum Energy Week Black Sea 2026, held in Bucharest, Romania. The forum featured a keynote address by Ms. Inga Pkhaladze, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia. In her speech, the Deputy Minister highlighted Georgia’s strategic importance in the region, particularly in the areas of energy security and the development of clean energy. She also underlined Georgia’s role in the process of integration between regional and European energy markets.

The aim of Energy Week Black Sea 2026 is to promote and deepen cooperation among Black Sea region countries in the field of electricity. As part of the event, meetings were held with representatives of various European energy companies that have expressed an interest in Georgia’s electricity sector and electricity market.

ESCO was represented at the forum by Ms. Rusudan Mazmishvili, Deputy Director General; Mrs. Tamar Tsurtsumia, Head of the International and Investor Relations Department; and Mr. Zaal Gergaia, Head of the Trade Organization and Electricity Market Development Department.
