In June 2022, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 133 224 660 kWh, which represents 9% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity has made up GEL 19 160 730.5.

During the mentioned reporting period, the balancing electricity, purchased by ESCO, mainly consisted of the electricity generated by HPP’s. The share of hydro power plants in total volume of balancing electricity was 92.73%, the share of wind farm 4.44%, the share of TPP’s – 2.39, whereas the share of import was 0.44%.

In June 2022, the share of balancing electricity purchased by direct consumers from ESCO was 6.1% in total volume of balancing electricity. In June, the Dispatch Licensee bought balancing electricity to cover losses in the transmission network, whose share in the purchase of balancing electricity was 26.6%.
