In March 2026, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 444 398 911.1 kWh, which represents 34% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity has made up GEL 68 370 354.35

In March, the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 15.425031382 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 11.679 Tetri.

During the mentioned reporting period, the balancing electricity, purchased by ESCO, mainly consisted of the electricity generated by TPP’s. The share of hydro power plants in total volume of balancing electricity was 32.7%, the share of wind farm 3.2%, the share of TPP’s – 40.1%, the share of solar power plants 0.2% and share of import – 23.8%.

In March 2026, the share of balancing electricity purchased by direct consumers from ESCO was 3.6% in total volume of balancing electricity. In March, the Dispatch Licensee bought balancing electricity to cover losses in the transmission network, whose share in the purchase of balancing electricity was 3.4%.
