The ESCO has organized the business meeting within the project financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), aimed at modernizing the Georgian Energy Market in line with European standards, to the support the Georgian Government.
From March 01, 2017, will be cancelled the registration of “KG ENERGY” Ltd as an Exporter by the Electricity Market Operator and in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”, it will be no more considered as a wholesale trade participant.
From February 01, 2017, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the JSC “ENERGO-PRO GEORGIA GENERATION” to take part in the wholesale trade as a Small Power Plant, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
From February 01, 2017, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the JSC “ENERGO-PRO GEORGIA GENERATION” to take part in the wholesale trade as a Generation Licensee, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
From February 01, 2017, the Electricity Market Operator has cancelled the registration of JSC “ENERGO-PRO GEORGIA” as a Generation Licensee and Small Power Plant and in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”, it is no more considered as a wholesale trade participant.
In January 2017, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 315 489 984 kWh, which represents 28% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity have made up 43 060 065.35 GEL.

In January, the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 13.6486315 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 14.234 Tetri/kWh.

From January 28, 2017, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “Qartli Wind Farm” Ltd to take part in the wholesale trade as Generation Licensee, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules” .

From January 27, 2017, the Electricity Market Operator has cancelled the registration of “Qartli Wind Farm” Ltd as a Power Plant - During the Test Run and/or a Comprehensive Testing and in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”, it is no more considered as a wholesale trade participant.
