A joint business meeting of ESCO management and the representatives of the company MERCADOS and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) was held at the ESCO office.
The meeting discussed the planning of a foreign company's work on the use of energy-accumulating batteries in Georgia. The project, if implemented, can play an important role in ensuring the stable functioning of the Georgian energy system.
In January 2023, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 243 746 221.4 kWh, which represents 18% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity has made up GEL 35 382 068

In January, the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 14.5159452 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 12.611 Tetri.
From November 1, 2022, the Electricity Market Operator has registered “Goldingen” LLC to take part in the wholesale trade as Direct Customer, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
From October 31, 2022, the Electricity Market Operator has cancelled the registration of “GEO Maintenance” LLC as a Direct Consumer and in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”, it is no more considered as a wholesale trade participant.
From February 9, 2023, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the LLC “Parvus Group” to take part in the wholesale trade as a Small Power Plant in the part of Roshka 1 HPP, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
From February 8, 2023, the Electricity Market Operator has cancelled the registration of LLC “Parvus Group”, in the part Roshka 1 HPP, as a Power Plant - During the Test Run and/or a Comprehensive Testing and in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”, it is no more considered as a wholesale trade participant.
From February 7, 2023, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the LLC “Parvus Group” to take part in the wholesale trade as a Small Power Plant in the part of Korsha HPP, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
From February 6, 2023, the Electricity Market Operator has cancelled the registration of LLC “Parvus Group”, in the part of Korsha HPP, as a Power Plant - During the Test Run and/or a Comprehensive Testing and in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”, it is no more considered as a wholesale trade participant.
From Januray 30, 2023, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “Parvus Group” LLC (in the part of Roshka 1 HPP) to take part in the wholesale trade as Power Plant - During The Test Run And/Or Complex Testing, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
From Januray 27, 2023, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “Parvus Group” LLC (in the part of Korsha HPP) to take part in the wholesale trade as Power Plant - During The Test Run And/Or Complex Testing, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
