The Electricity Market Operator held the business meetings with the companies: Clifford Chance and ENKA, to discuss the issues related to Namakhvani HPP. In addition, the meetings were held with the representatives of International Finance Corporation IFC and World Bank Group/MIGA. The topics of the meetings included the review of draft agreement and memorandum on guaranteed purchase of electricity, generated by Namakhvani HPP and the analysis of trade relations relevant with the new market model.

The Electricity Market Operator held a business meeting with the representatives of Energoinvest. The aim of the meeting was to review the project on guaranteed purchase of power, generated by Avani HPP.  Energoinvest was represented by the Director of Avani HPP - Kakha Kobaidze and the representatives of legal and energy units. From the side of ESCO the meeting was led by its Deputy Director General - Zaza Dvalishvili and attended by the Head of Legal Department - Ana Tomaradze and the representatives of various departments.

The representatives of Korean company SK: Mr. Soy Lee (Executive Vice President), Mr. Chang Yong Hong (General Manager) and Mr. Jongo Takti (Marketing Manager) visited the Electricity Market Operator. During the meeting, ESCO was represented by its General Director - Vakhtang Ambokadze and the heads of International Relations and Investor Relations and Legal departments.

In February 2018, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 256 396 894.4 kWh, which represents 23% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity have made up 33 089 858.3 GEL.

In February,  the Weighted Average Price of Balancing Electricity per kWh made up  13.1102478 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was  11.248 Tetri/kWh.

On March 09, 2018, ESCO announced the Electronic Tender (SPA180002760) on purchase of computer equipment and accessories (cables, flash drives, mice, etc.), which cost GEL 2360. The deadline for submission of tender proposal ends on March 19, 2018.

On March 02, 2018, ESCO announced the electronic tender (SPA180002520) for purchase of light bulbs for ceiling with total estimated cost of GEL 1 750.

The deadline for submission of tender proposal ends on March 12, 2018.

On February 27, 2018, a meeting was held in ESCO between the representatives of the Market Operator and the European Business Association (EBA). The Director General of the Association Mr. David Lawrence Lee made a presentation on EBA's activities and mission in Georgia, which aims to promote trade and investment between Georgia and Europe.

On February 14, 2018, based on the Order No. 1-1/57, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia has amended ”the Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”, approved by the Order №77 of the Minister of Energy of Georgia, on 30 August 2006. In particular, the amendment has referred to subparagraph "b.b" of paragraph 1 of article 14 and subparagraph "j" has been added to paragraph 1 of the same article.

The objective of the amendment is to clarify the rule of settlement, when selling the electricity, generated by the partially deregulated power plants to the Electricity Market Operator and to bring this rule into compliance with the existing legislation...

On February 8, 2018, a discussion of offers for import-export (barter) of electricity was held in the office of JSC "Electricity System Commercial Operator". The  offer submitted by the company “Aksa Aksen Enerji” was the most acceptable for ESCO.
